Peter Alan Lyon is Hype Luxury's Strategic Business Development Advisor for Japan

Peter is one of the most recognized English-language voices in the Japanese automotive world. He has been a columnist for Forbes since 2014 and for Forbes Japan since 2016, and has served as Tokyo correspondent for Quattroruote, Italy's leading automotive publication, for more than three decades. He is Partner and Editor-in-Chief of Carlist.com and contributed to Car and Driver for nearly nineteen years.

Since 2015, Peter has co-hosted Samurai Wheels on NHK World Japan, the country's international public broadcaster. He is a judge for the Japan Car of the Year award and serves on the steering committee of the International Auto Film Festa. He is co-author, with Brian Long, of Toyota Yaris WRC, the full account of the Toyota Gazoo Racing world rally campaign.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Japanese Studies from the University of Western Australia and an advanced diploma in Japanese language from Keio University. He is based in Tokyo.
