CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN SERVICES

Eligibility

  • Age limit: Minimum 18 years.
  • Minors: Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Booking process

  • Reservations are made via our app/website based on preferred vehicle and journey type.
  • Expenses: Taxes, tolls, and parking are the customer's responsibility. Calculations are "Garage to Garage."
  • Damages: Customers must fully reimburse any vehicle damage to restore it to operational status.
  • Transfers: Verify with us if your trip includes airport pickup/drop-off, as these are distinct from local/outstation rides.

Customer responsibilities

  • Conduct: Chauffeurs adhere to RTO laws. Coercing rash driving or abusing staff is strictly prohibited.
  • Occupancy: Exceeding legal passenger limits results in immediate return to the garage without a refund.
  • Safety denials: Chauffeurs may refuse service due to alcohol, food hazards, or threats to vehicle features.
  • Illegal activity: Carrying drugs, firearms, or engaging in crime ends the journey immediately.
  • Limits: Maximum daily usage is 12 hours or 300 km. We reserve the right to stop for safety of staff and car.

SELF-DRIVE SERVICES

Eligibility

  • Requirement: Minimum 30 years old with a valid license held for at least 7 years.

Booking & logistics

  • Documents: Provide license and identity proofs (Aadhaar/Passport) via email during booking. Only the named customer may operate the vehicle.
  • Delivery: We do not allow garage pickups; our crew handles delivery/pickup for a fee deducted from the deposit.
  • Mileage: Includes 150 km per day; additional distance is billed extra.
  • Deposit: Amounts vary by model. Refunds typically process in 15–30 business days but may take longer for interstate rentals or damage assessments.

Operating rules

  • Inspection: Customers must record any pre-existing damage at delivery; later claims are not valid.
  • Insurance: Cars are bumper-to-bumper insured, but damage costs are first recovered from the security deposit.
  • Speed: Capped at 100 km/hr; over-speeding incurs a ₹1,500 fine per instance.
  • Prohibitions: No smoking/drinking inside. Pets, towing, racing, or commercial use are strictly forbidden.
  • Parking: Street parking is not allowed. GPS tracking monitors for abandoned vehicles or unauthorized stops.
  • Fuel: Operates on a "Full Tank to Full Tank" basis at the customer's expense.

TYRE DAMAGE POLICY

  • Liability: Repair or replacement costs for punctures, sidewall abrasions, or misuse are recovered from the deposit.
  • Assessment: Our team performs a detailed tyre inspection upon return, utilizing photographic evidence for any identified issues.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Cancellations

  • Notice: Must be sent via email between 10 AM – 7 PM, at least 4 hours before the scheduled start.
  • Fees: Cancellations under 24 hours incur 100% charges; others incur 50%.
  • Bulk bookings: Public/private event cancellations may involve a 100% fee and up to a 6-month refund wait.

Vehicle replacement

  • Scope: Provided within city limits only, subject to availability for mechanical errors.
  • Breakdowns: If a failure occurs outside city limits, a replacement is not provided, and full rental fees still apply.

Geo-fencing & privacy

  • Tracking: We use virtual boundaries to optimize safety and routing. By using the service, you consent to location data collection.
  • Tampering: Manipulating or disabling geo-fencing technology may lead to immediate termination and legal action.

Indemnity & liability

  • Release: The user indemnifies Hype against all property loss, third-party injuries, or deaths occurring during the rental.
  • Legal Responsibility: Under the Motor Vehicles Act (1988), the user is liable for all traffic offenses, challans, and penalties.

Disclaimer

  • Risk: Services are used at the customer's sole risk. Hype disclaims all warranties regarding suitability or merchantability.

  • Pricing: We reserve the right to cancel bookings if technical errors lead to incorrect pricing on the platform.
